[BEIJING, 1 APRIL 2023]: Rand Group Malaysia is honoured to have been invited by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia ("MITI") as the official delegate to participate in the Malaysia China Business Forum 2023 in conjunction with Prime Minister of Malaysia Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's historical State Visit to the People's Republic of China.

 

A Memorandum of Collaboration ("MoC") was signed between Rand Development Sdn. Bhd. ("Rand"), the Real Estate Development arm of Rand Group and China Xiamen Chase Galaxy Investment Management Pte. Ltd. ("Chase Investment") to secure Foreign Direct Investment for Rand's upcoming landmark project slated to be developed in Malaysia. This project has been recognised by the Malaysian government as one of the key national investment promotion projects.

 

The MoC exchange ceremony took place at the China World Trade Centre in Beijing, which was attended by Mr. Marcus Chia Zeng Yik, Managing Director and CEO of Rand, and Professor Dr. Albert Chen Yong Quan, CEO of Chase Investment.

 

The MoC exchange ceremony between Rand and Chase Investment was witnessed by:

1.) The Most Honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim;

2.) The Honourable Minister of International Trade and Industry Malaysia, Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Aziz;

3.) The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs Malaysia, Datuk Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir;

4.) The Honourable Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia, Mr. Chang Lih Kang;

5.) The Honourable Minister of Transport Malaysia, Mr. Anthony Loke; and

6.) The Honourable Minister of Local Government Development, Mr. Nga Kor Ming.

 

By forging this strategic collaboration, the parties will also work towards contributing to the further strengthening of bilateral and economic ties between Malaysia and China in the long run.
